First interview with Dan Brown in Prague: He spoke about meeting the president and what remains a mystery to him?

One of the most successful contemporary writers is in Prague. Dan Brown is presenting his book The Secret of All Secrets, the plot of which takes place in our capital city. The book is being published by Argo. The editorial team of Aplausin.cz was among the first he spoke with after arriving in Prague. The conversation touched on Tom Hanks as well as Czech President Petr Pavel.
Dan Brown arrived in Prague on Wednesday with his girlfriend and his father. On Thursday, he will present his new book, the plot of which takes place against the backdrop of Prague, to his fans. "There is no city more beautiful in Europe than Prague. When I was preparing to write about human consciousness, I knew the city simply had to be Prague. It has been the mystical capital of Europe since the time of Rudolf II," Brown told Aplausin.cz.
The interview also touched on Professor Robert Langdon, the main hero of his book series, portrayed by Tom Hanks in the film adaptations. Asked whether he had consulted Hanks on how to play Langdon, the writer was quite firm. "I would never tell Tom Hanks how to act. That would be like telling the best chef how to cook. I don’t know much about acting, and Tom Hanks is one of the greatest living actors. Working with him was an absolute joy," Brown said.
The author also revealed that on Thursday he is scheduled to meet President Petr Pavel. "It will be a great honor for me," he added, noting that an international book launch party will also take place at the Žofín Palace in Prague. He praised Czech beer and cuisine as well.
